Mike is the CEO and founding member of Tall Emu. Although Mike has a technical background, previously working as a programmer for business automation projects in the corporate world, Mike's real passion is designing business systems and business analysis. This blend of business and technical skills means that Mike is able to act as a great intermediary between business users and technical teams.
Mike designed the systems which automated and integrated credit processing systems for Vodafone Australia. This resulted in a reduction of processing time for new applicants from hours, to a "speed connect" system where customers were activated in 15 minutes or less over the telephone - and resulted in a large reduction in staff required for the credit department.
At Nomad Telecommunications, Mike was a key designer of a collections system which automated debt recovery based on flexible business rules including automated reminders, prioritisation, and interacting with both a predictive dialler and IVR system. This project resulted in an enormous increase in collections based on the manual system, and a massive reduction in bad debt.
At Tall Emu, under Mike's management we produced one of the worlds best Firewall Software “Online Armor” which was recently purchased by European based software company Emsisoft. Mike also oversaw the requirements and initial implementation of Total Enterprise CRM, our flagship product.
Mike is quick to understand business processes and able to apply his considerable experience to help achieve the results the client is looking for, in the right timeframe and at the right cost. He has helped many Australian businesses with software development and personally project managed multiple software developments for Australian business.
Mike has experience in a variety of industries including security, telecommunications, call centers, finance, credit and wine.
Darryl is one of the founding directors of Tall Emu and has over 20 years IT development and management experience. He has worked in Australia and South Africa in various technical roles. His extensive knowledge of software development has led to teaching database design and SQL for Computer Associates and software development for Borland.
Currently project manager for various Total Enterprise CRM installations.
Prior to joining Tall Emu, Darryl was the Development Manager at Entellect Solutions, a software development company
Darryl has a B. Sci. degree from Waikato University, New Zealand.
David Northmore, Marketing Director & Ecommerce Consultant
David has been with Tall Emu since 2007 bringing over 10 years’ experience in e-commerce and online marketing, including search engine marketing (SEM) and optimisation (SEO).
He has been instrumental in developing the Online Armor user base, increasing website traffic from a few hundred a day to 3 million unique visits per year.
David consults for businesses through Australia, the UK and the USA requiring search, useability and sales conversion optimisation strategies.
Prior to joining Tall Emu, David was the Head of Search at Amplify, an Australian search marketing and web development consultancy.
David earned a Post Graduate Diploma in E-Commerce.
